Wimberly headed to Pirates
I just confirmed that speedy infield prospect Corey Wimberly has been dealt to the Pirates in exchange for Minor League right-handed pitcher Ryan Kelly.
Kelly, a 26th-round Draft pick by the Pirates in 2006, has compiled a 4.74 ERA with 43 walks and 171 strikeouts through 184 innings in 81 games (11 starts) spanning four professional seasons. Most recently, the 23-year-old righty posted a 4.20 ERA while averaging nine strikeouts and 1.7 walks per nine innings through 75 frames in Class-A ball.
HdcP4Z Very true! Makes a change to see seoomne spell it out like that.
